David Rose Brings Home the Commercial Transaction of the Year Award for 2022

On December 9, the Beaumont Board of Realtors® (BBOR) held their annual Christmas party and handed out awards and accolades to several outstanding brokers/agents in Southeast Texas. Among them was David Rose of Wheeler Commercial in Beaumont, who earned the 2022 BBOR Commercial Transaction of the Year in only his second year practicing commercial real estate in Texas.

Each year the BBOR awards the Commercial Transaction of the Year award, which parallels the William C. Jennings Award (the Texas Realtor commercial transaction of the year).

David worked tirelessly for his client, which was a financial institution, who needed to liquidate this asset. The financial institution foreclosed on the site after Hurricane Rita caused extensive damage to the property. Prior to the hurricane it had been a specialty lumber yard.

Lee Wheeler, broker/owner of Wheeler Commercial, said, “David worked very long and hard to get this to the closing table. I personally saw him on his hands and knees digging mud out of the water valve shutoff to secure a leak when we first toured the facility.” Wheeler continued to say how Rose went above and beyond the call of duty by arranging to have the property cleaned up so it became presentable to potential buyers.

David has many years of experience in commercial real estate in Louisianna and is now bringing that experience to Southeast Texas. In only his second year, he made quite the impression and was able to bring the Commercial Transaction of the Year back to Wheeler Commercial. Brokers/Agents at Wheeler Commercial have won the award now 6 times.
